Kaushik Sonawala
Founder & Visionary
Kaushik Sonawala was a visionary entrepreneur whose leadership and passion for technology played a defining role in building both Digital Waves and Prime AssetSource. With deep industry experience and a strong understanding of evolving business needs, he believed organizations should have easier and more flexible access to technology and infrastructure.
This vision became the foundation for building a specialized leasing business that would later evolve into Prime AssetSource. His entrepreneurial spirit, customer-first philosophy, and commitment to building lasting relationships continue to inspire the company and its people every day — his legacy remains deeply embedded in the culture and values of the organization.
Preet Sonawala
Founder & Managing Director
Preet Sonawala leads Prime AssetSource with a strong focus on customer relationships, scalable leasing solutions, and long-term business growth. Over the years, he has helped expand the company from a focused IT leasing business into a diversified asset leasing and rental partner serving multiple industries and business segments.
Under his leadership, Prime AssetSource continues to evolve with changing market requirements while maintaining its commitment to operational reliability, responsiveness, and service excellence. Today, the company supports businesses with flexible leasing and rental solutions across technology infrastructure, enterprise assets, manufacturing equipment, workplace solutions, and lifecycle management services.

Who is behind POWERX?
POWERX is the own brand of Prime AssetSource Pvt Ltd. The group began as Digital Waves in Bengaluru in 1994, founded by Kaushik and Preet Sonawala, and has carried the POWERX name since 2001.
What does POWERX sell?
Desktop PCs, all-in-one PCs and interactive flat panels, plus the parts that go into them: motherboards, memory, storage, cabinets, power supplies, graphics cards, coolers, monitors and accessories.
Are POWERX desktops built in-house?
Yes. Every POWERX desktop is assembled, stress-tested and burned in on our own bench before it is dispatched.
Can I buy in bulk for an office, school or institution?
Yes. Tell us what you need and how many through the bulk quote page, and we send a formal quotation. One team then handles delivery, installation and support.
Do you offer leasing?
Yes, through Prime AssetSource. Businesses can lease IT equipment, and workplace and industrial assets, instead of buying outright.
Will I get a GST invoice?
Yes, for business purchases. Add your GSTIN when you order and it is printed on the invoice.
How do warranty claims work?
Bring the product and its invoice to any branch, or raise a warranty ticket on the Support page and our RMA team gets back to you on WhatsApp. Where a part qualifies, it is replaced across the same counter.
How are online orders paid for and delivered?
You pay through a secure online checkout, and we ship across India with tracking from the moment your order is picked up.
Can you help me choose parts or build a PC?
Yes. Use Build a PC to put together a compatible system, ask X on the site, or raise a technical ticket on the Support page and our technical team gets back to you.
